In New Zealand's Marriage Law, it’s an essential legal requirement for your wedding ceremony to include the following pivotal line, ensuring that your union meets all necessary legal standards:
“I ____ take you _____to be my husband/wife/partner."
That line can be anywhere in your vows, but it’s nice to pad it out with some other love stuff.
Your vows can be:
1. Adapted from pre-written templates
2. Completely personalised
3. Similar structure, personalise the middle.
4. Write together, identical.
